A decision is an output. Not an authorization.
Use decision-oriented outputs where your application needs a bounded label or score. Validate the result and keep the permission to act in a separate, explicit policy layer.
Define the acceptable answers
State which values the application accepts and what happens when the input is incomplete or the result is invalid. Include a defer or review outcome where appropriate. Do not convert a parse failure into an approval simply to keep the happy path moving.
Evaluate uncertainty in context
Set any thresholds using representative examples and the consequences of different mistakes. A returned probability is not proof that the decision is correct for your workload. Preserve human-review outcomes and examine the cases where reviewers disagree.
Connect proposals to controlled actions
A decision API can help select a queue or surface a missing checklist item. Actual access checks, target validation, and approval rules should remain deterministic and accountable. The conceptual contract below illustrates a policy shape; it is not an AdminPlatform.com endpoint.
